Glorified doodle. I actually finished this before I finished Larimar's actual reference sheet.
I have discovered that Larimar has severe social anxiety when it comes to other gems. Humans are fine, they don’t carry any of the potential prejudices that gems might upon discovering her background. Kindergarten gem abandoned on Earth because she didn’t fill her purpose and instead would sneak off and do her own thing. Gems she’s interacted with tend not to like her either because she’s technically a Homeworld gem, as she never joined with the Crystal Gems and was a product of a Kindergarten, or because she was guilty of desertion of the Homeworld cause and therefore a good-for-nothing coward.
Humans are fine. They don’t carry those prejudices; they might stare a bit but they don’t care about her past and what that might mean. But she doesn’t really have any human friends because of her wandering habits and because she tends to bail if she discovers that the human she’s interacting with has a gem friend. She’s pretty good at keeping a handle on her anxiety until she finds herself in the presence of said gem, in which case she just wants to get away and leave because this gem was here first and she doesn’t have the right to stay. Getting to know the human is out of the question at that point because she’s so convinced the gem will come after her for it. I’m not sure what kind of things she’s had happen that led her to believe such things, but it’s obviously happened more than once.
