Description
This was a comission for the cover of a cd of the U.S. Metal band Troll.Done with brushes in about 30 hours, acrylics on watercolor cardboard, 40 cm x 40 cm.

While some would think the theme is over-done if they look at the amount of times such things are done by amateur fantasy painters, you certainly are keeping the trend alive by doing it with excellent detail.

Thanks! Yes thereΒ΄s also a norwegian band called Troll. But the US band sometimes uses the "US" after the word "Troll" (I donΒ΄t know which band has taken the name first) and they make a more traditional Metal-style, not Black Metal.

i love that shade of purple the sorcerer is wearing. is that straight form the tube? or did you have to mix colors to get that purple.

I usually donΒ΄t use the colors straight from the tube. In fact I think I have never done this (instead of white), I always mix divverent colors together to visualize what I have in mind.
