    New York is a busy, busy city. Not to mention scary and overwhelming for a younger dog… all the smells, sights and sounds flood their little minds. Klass was handling the new environment well, despite being a rambunctious puppy. Klass’s hired handler often rushed potty outings and walks though, not really letting her take in everything. The longest walk Klass got to go on was from their budget hotel to the Westminster show itself on show day. Klass was of course pulling on the lead, she wanted to see all of the new exciting things, her handler was not too enthused about puppy energy though.
    On the walk to the show, the smells of hot dogs, cigarettes, coffee, new people and dogs danced in her sensitive nose. The bright animated billboards dazzled her eyes, captivating her attention for a couple seconds before she was pulling at the lead to the next thing. Her claws scratching at the sidewalk, eager to get to the next element that catches her attention. Oop! Gotta stop to pee. Her handler screeched, “NOT THERE!!” she panicked, she hated when the two legs were upset with her. Tucking her tail, she scurried away from the handler and bumped up against a stranger’s knee.
    “I am SO sorry, sir. She’s usually not like this…” Klass’s handler rushed to apologize while tightening the leash’s slack. The man just chuckled and said “No problem, she is still a baby.” As the man walked away, the handler tightened even more on the leash pressure. Klass does not appreciate excessive pressure, and she tried to get away from it. Her handler just dragged her quickly across the sidewalk, rushing to the show, not caring. As she approached the building, she went to a coffee cafe right beside the show, “I’m gonna need this to keep up with you.” she sighed. [309]
