Here my friend Mônica reclining her head against the shoulders of one of the most important Brazilian playwrights. He is an exotic icon for us with his personages of play and books living in a magical realism world. For our pride, he was born in our city.

In truth, here Mônica interacts with the Ariano Suassuna portrait, tacked by a famous local photographer, Gustavo Moura.

Ariano Suassuna (born in João Pessoa, Paraíba, Brazil in 1927) is a playwright and author.

Four of his plays have been filmed and he is considered one of Brazil's greatest living playwrights. He is also an important regional writer doing various novels set in the Northeast of Brazil. He received an honorary doctorate at a ceremony performed at a circus.
