Here's a little on Arrio~ I thought I'd start my character profiles with him~ I drew so much of Quin and Jackie lately that I needed a little break from them. Next will be the twins though~-SuperCell

I know and I'm telling you it's not easy to pick names that works with the characters your creating. I have one superhero comics that I'm doing (it's a lot more for older crowd) but the leading heroine of the whole story first and middle name play on her character and her struggles. Alexis:
Greek and means "protector of mankind" implies her strong need to help others before and even more when she gained her powers and ester: (spelled like her favorite singer/songwriter ester dean) with is referring to the biblical story of Esther which will imply about her plan to help protect the mutants in hiding within the comic book universe, her passion for music (mostly singing), and her determination to be strong and faithful while having serious struggles with her life issues and self-identity

I always knew Arrio was gonna be half Irish so I looked up Irish surnames.Β
I remember a friend at school with the last name Mcclain and liked the way that sounded XD so I looked up names that had the "Mc" in it....then I stumbled on McKay which happened to mean fire *_*

Cool origin. OH, you should totally add that to the comic dialogue. Like when he intro's himself full name, "The names Arrio..." he snaps a small flame when he says "McKay" and he subtly explains it means fire.
Does he use fire as a theme for pick-up Β lines?

Part Irish, Part Mexican, sounds almost like Rory from Wayward, just replace the Mexican background to Japanese and make him a her and have the mom be a yokai, simple coincidence

Nice work. We didn't get a lot of Arrio's background, this is a good rundown on him. After your done w/ the main characters, will you do a profile on the secondary & side characters? i.e. their parents, classmates, villains, Quintin's "Alphaman" superhero?

Process:
1. Focus on finishing your main characters in civilian & heroic attire.
2. After you've worked out the main characters, shift sights on side characters: family of each hero w/ said hero's head-shot in a corner.
* 2.a. Create a visual family tree showing who's related to who.
* 2.b. Show only the classmates who would best help the heroes along the plot.
3. If it helps a lot, add various compilation still expressions of a different character you want to showcase.
* 3.a. i.e. Quintin sad, happy, scared; Arrio's sister Jesse crying, asleep, bored; you get where I'm going with this.
* 3.b. If you drew Alpha-Man, could you add the link plz?

*A. Hey, what about showcasing Arrio's powers? He does a different hand sign & cast for a different thing- attack, defense, passive.
*B. Also, b/c he's 1/2 Irish, what if he has a secret contingency power? LikeΒ hidden forest powersΒ b/c of Irish dad, in the event of being submerged by water villain? Is Arrio's dad a regular Human?

A) Haven't thought of hand signs, That could be for a different type of magician! I'm running out of way to output magic XD
B) His dad is a normal human XD If anything Arrio is probably a weaker magician because of his dad's side.

A) What if you incorporate:Β * dancing_ waterΒ * martial arts_ airΒ * hand signs_ fireΒ * external activaters_ earth? Or mix-n-mash the hows.
B) While he has weaker Fire magic from his human dad, what if his magical essence recognizes his dad's Celtic heritage and reacts w/ it to give him some forest/earthen powers?
B.1) In the event of near drowning from a major water villain, he'll temporarily have Forest powers b/c plants feed on water & sunlight to make Oxygen. But Fire powers will still reassert b/c simple nature: Fire burns Wood.

Go for it! Superheroes are fun to make!
and for a design...I'd figure out who the character is...what their hobbies are and so on then make a design.Β When I made Arrio I made sure to make him a red-head to show off his Irish side and since he's into parkour/freerunning I designed his clothes to be more loose and sporty. It helps knowing the character first.
Making a superhero costume is a little more difficult(at least for me) but tailoring it around their powers helps~
