Power-girl's hole is more of a burden than a help to her.....I mean all she does is attract weirdos which she hates so, why not just get rid of it and leave it blank? She can still be the same and act the same except she'd get to keep some of her dignity!
But seriously no one will ever convince me Power-girl's symbol makes sense.......EVER.

Her costume looks kinda generic now. And when you design superheroins and superheroes that's the last thing you want.

I'm gonna be honest; when my superhero characters have boob-windows, it's cause I can't make an symbol for them that fits or doesn't look like an ripoff. Maybe the creator was in the same field. Although, the boob window for her, seeing how big her boobs are, seems to squeeze them and harm them.

The reason there was a hole there was because she couldn't think of a good emblem to put on her chest so she left a hole there until she think of a good one.

yeah when it comes to female characters making decisions like that it's all up to the authors themselves cus they're responsible for creating the hero and providing their intentions, so when they result to this its only cus they wanna provide themselves with an excuse to show off some skinΒ

I've never understood the boob hole. Regardless of any moral issues it brings up, I have always found it to be a baffling design choice. What's the point of it? If the artist wanted to show some cleavage, there are a million better, more logical-looking ways of doing it than a big whole in the middle of her suit. Honestly, the suit would look better without, as seen here. It also bugs me as that is where you expect to see a heroic emblem, like Superman's shield or Batman's... bat. Instead, boobs. Em Kay.
Enough rant! Lovely drawing! You've managed to make her muscular, curvy, and cute all at the same time. Nicely done.

Because nothing says "Super Hero" like cleavage, right? Honestly though, what bugged about as much as the chest hole was her funny cape with the rope-over-the-shoulder... I don't know why it bugs me...Anyway, this is a very good drawing!

She did briefly sport a blank topped outfit similar to this in the 2009 JSA Allstars comic series.
I don't think the old version of Powergirl has ever really lacked dignity in any of her outfits, one aspect about the character was her opinion that her actions defined her, not her confused past, and not her wardrobe ( and given her impressive bodyshape, she attracted unwelcome attention in every outfit, even the full covering bodysuit she used to wear ). The lack of dignity was, as far as Powergirl was concerned, the weirdos problem.

Powergirl is just asking for pervs to come. Girls with bigger boobs can still dress modest, sure they will still attract unwanted attention but they can lessen it by wearing appropriate clothing.
Powergirl doesn't need that hole, she's already pretty and has a nice shape.
Wearing that hole makes me believe Powergirl likes the attention....making ME believe she has no self-respect.
but what am I saying we all know the only reason Powergirl has that hole is because the writers/artist wanted to get more boys to read the comic.
I'd like to think boys would read her comic either way...........
