Description I saw this barn nestled into the trees on a sidestreet, and it begged me to take its picture, so what else could I do but comply?

I'm not sure if I jumped up the highlights too much, though, so please let me know what you think.

Okay good, so I'm not the only one who hears barns speaking

Thanks Billy

Due to the content of the picture, I think I prefer the original more. Since it's an older style barn, one might expect it to look sort of washed-out. This is very pretty on it's own.

Good point; I might have to try this with a sepia filter, see how it looks.

The whites have lost some detail, but it is a little exciting isn't it?

Adaera In reply to markramstead [2007-02-22 01:13:18 +0000 UTC]

It's still a good photo, but I think I'm starting to like the other one better, it just seems more vibrant.

Are they still the same size? Overlay them and fool with the transparency till you like it. (I do that alot)

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Adaera In reply to markramstead [2007-02-22 01:25:16 +0000 UTC]

Yup, they're both the same size. Maybe I'll try combining them in in PhotoMatix and see what happens.

Yes, I'm just wading through today's emails and saw them. Some nice pieces in there - he likes the tank one, being a counter strike player lol. I like the spooky alien-looking one and the submarine one.

markramstead In reply to Adaera [2007-02-24 14:35:32 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, that concept could be used alot here at DA, but who has there own photos of outer space???? Stupid DA rules.

Adaera In reply to markramstead [2007-02-24 17:21:16 +0000 UTC]

Maybe some of the astrophotographers have some in their stock? At the science centre here every once in awhile they hold photography events where you can shoot images with the big telescope.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

markramstead In reply to Adaera [2007-02-24 18:32:45 +0000 UTC]

Honestly some photos are supposed to be in the publick domain but DA does not want to deal with it, I have just decided to let it go rather than deal with DA rats!

I like this version better Tami. Stronger saturation and better contrast. I think it highlights the barn better.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Adaera In reply to ZoharBlur [2007-02-21 15:55:33 +0000 UTC]

I did that all in PhotoShop. I have yet another version that I made in with a new plugin I was testing, but I wasn't 100% satisfied with it, but I'm still testing all of the controls on that plugin, so I haven't made a final decision about it yet.
