How exactly do you imagine/create this? Cause when I try my mind kind of fizzles and I end up having a mental breakdown

I would like to ask you if I may use this image for a project I've got coming up. It's a school project, and I think this image would be a great one for us to use. We will give the credit for the image of course. Please respond with an answer as soon as you can.

This is a really beautiful piece of work, I love how you have a great blend of both nature and technology in there as well as the general air of peace that surrounds the place.
Hey, do you mind if I used this image for my blog? I've sorta got this whole "capital of knowledge" theme going for it and I think this image would really fit it well.

Nice matte but here are a few things I see in this that could use some improvement
The composition is nice, but could use a bit revisions to build an eye patter to follow, that white trainway kinda leads the eye out too quick and too suddenly, I'd like to see it a bit muted down and maybe heading inwards or something.
Also the composition is a bit too tight, I feel there's a bit too much going on and it's all squished in, maybe a wider composition would help
Also I feel like there'd be a whole alot more haze going on in the city. On top of that atmospheric perspective is barely there. Tho place these hazes selectively as it is very easy to overdo it. Also for shadows you've used different values of black blue and different colors for different distances and sometimes the further away building has more contrast than the closer one and eye questions that. As it gets further away shadows turn blueish and the contrast fades away, turns in to more of a hue shift almost rather than different values.
As for rendering - sorry I just keep seeing new things everytime I look at it, maybe a bit too long of a critique - you could definitely use some bouncing light. You have vegetation in the city and it's not as well lit as the buildings or your highlights aren't as high key, if you boosted them up with a yellow-greenish tone and had some of that light bouncing onto the buildings (cyanish-yellow-green) that'd help alot into your rendering, hlep it bring together. Same thing applies to every highlight and shadow, always keep in mind the ambient light.
(also, on a fairly gray - or white - surface, warm light casts blueish shadows, if you look closely to snowscenes or beachscenes you'll realize that and I don't know, I had found this piece of info so useful when someone told me it for the first time, maybe it'll help you out too )
Also I feel some of your buildings don't live up to the visual insterest other buildings contain, maybe break them down and make em a bit more visually appealing. Add textures! They look way too clean as they are right now. Lasso tool will get you only so far
Other than those, I don't have anything else to say I think , I love the variety I love the foreground futuristic extensions of buildings and I love the overall look, keep on practicing!

ya the main points I took out of that were the contrast of the buildings, I kept several buildings in the back bright yellow when they'd be subdued. And the other thing is the building shapes...you can clearly tell which ones were hand made. Do you know of any feature besides the lasso and marquee tool? I need to make more complex buildings. Thanks for the critique!
