Son of the Ancient Atlantean Sorcerer Atlan and Queen Atlanna, raised by the seas and a lighthouse keeper Tom Curry, he is Orin, Arthur Curry, Aquaman, the rightful ruler of Atlantis and the Ocean realm.

I was in the mood to try a character i rarely draw, so here is DC's Aquaman, based along the lines of his animated Justice League incarnation which in turn was based on the 1994 evolution of the character by writer Peter David.

This version moved slightly away from the spandex crowd, embracing a more wittily humoured but fierce tempered warrior king of the Oceans persona than the previously very stoic to a fault superhero.

This version had a solid run ( about 75 issues from 1994 to 2001, the characters longest run in his own series ) with a mix of magic and sci-fi it also tied into Peter Davids previous work of 'Atlantis Chronicles'
