Gobbo gobbo gobbo. Burned like ulcers, exterminated, treatened with poisons and dogs, and teams of inexperienced adventurers who took on the first place something easy. When the gnomes were remembered in fairy tales as cheerful and obliging beings, their savage cousins were rather scary to naughty swindlers. And yet the goblins are the only ones from the gnomish family to survive to this day, they are still stealing cattle, they are still attacking caravans or just making hilarious P R A N K S to the villagers. All the time they are balancing over the precipice, laughing to all kings, all land managers and magnates in the face, showing the double fingers, not wanting to socialize or take themselves elsewhere. Maybe it would be interesting to know a race whose style of being could only be compared to a cracker in a cow dung. To later avoid such a wide arc.
