We're reading The Secret Life of Bees in my English class and there are two important objects with Mary, Jesus's mother, depicted as black. One is a picture that belonged to the protagonist Lily's mother, the other a statue of herSo I felt inspired to draw a pregnant Mary.
I messed up a bit on her headscarf thing, but overall I like this.
