Two sketches done at the Big Apple show in NYC ths past weekend.I did the Black Cat first, and only added her graphitti at the end on a whim. It felt like something she'd do.
Well, when I started on a Catwoman sketch, I figured Selina Kyle wouldn't take that sort of thing lying down...
BTW, what Catwoman wrote is deliberately obscured, because, well, kids come by my table. But anyone with a reasonable IQ and a filthy mind should be able to suss it out...

I looked at the Catwoman piece for a good minute, then realized what Catwoman wrote, "Black Cat gives rotten head". I don't know why, but the "rotten" bit cracked me up more so than the Black Cat piece insulting Catwoman! Classy, and ...priceless.

As a more casual comicer, I hadn't seen Black Cat til a few years ago. And the first thing that came to mind was, 'Oh my god- Marvel stole Catwoman!' Great to see them going at it

And I think it's a bit unfair to claim that Marvel stole Catwoman since I believe the current incarnation of Catwoman was inspired by Black Cat.
Good work on the art. I do wish Marvel tried another Black Cat comic, but I think it'd be too close to what Catwoman is now. Shame.

And then there is cold sores, which is passed through a herpes virus but is relatively okay. I'm assuming this is the good kind of herpes.

Actually, Catwoman's first appearance was in Batman #1 in 1940. I'm fairly certain, if my memory still serves me, that Black Cat first appeared in 1979. It's been a little while since I read her wiki article, though. (checks internet) Yup, she first debuted in july of 1979 in The Amazing Spider-Man #194.

Oh my gost this picture just made my day. I'm a huge fan of Catwoman (and well basically the whole gothem universe), and I just picked up a one shot issure of a bunch of Marvel Character's origins (I thought I better start reading some Marvel). I read about Black Cat's origin, and wondered whether Catwoman would approve. Regardless I approve very much of this picture.
