This is my cover for IDW's G.I. Joe A Real American Hero #226. Part 1 of the Cobra Nation story arc.
Available in stores everywhere March 9th, 2016.
This cover (Cobra Commander) is the 8th (and final) in a series of G.I. Joe toy covers I painted, which span issue #s 219-226. To clarify, this series of comic book covers were hand painted using traditional media made to look like action figures, and are entirely separate from the packaging art illustrations I do for the actual G.I. Joe toys. So what I'm trying to say is if you want to own a copy head to your local comic store, not a toy store!
Eagle-eyed G.I. Joe fans will spot many differences between this cover and the vintage toy.
