Description
A CP Rail train goes speeding by at the east end of the Cherrywood Bridge. (The bridge is just out of frame to the right.) High Ball refers to an old signaling system where a ball was raised up to the top of a mast to indicate the line was clear. Now it is commonly used for a train that has a clear signal. A further note: Since trains take so long to stop, signals give information for this signal, and the next. A Clear Signal (Green on top), means that both this signal AND the next signal are clear.
