Description So, a friend in a Discord server came up with a fun little challenge to try and develop a version of Fighter Pass 2 that mirrors the first one in some way. So I decided to take this to the next level and make a full on Fighter Pass template with it.

Keep in mind I am not proclaiming this to be an accurate prediction or anything, even though I now think all of these guys have a likely shot, and I highly doubt FP2 actually is going to mirror the first one. This was mainly just for fun. But I might as well explain these 'cuz why not.

Min Min (ARMS)
-Mirrors Piranha Plant: First-party representatives with stretchy powers.
Alright, obviously Min Min is already in, so the mirroring here is moreso just coincidence. I know Plant wasn't part of the Fighter Pass, but they still made him a DLC character, so I'm still counting it.

Lloyd Irving (Tales of Symphonia)
-Mirrors Joker: Hail from well-known JRPG series that have a rotating cast and setting, and are the central characters of arguably the most well known game.
Starting off is a character I'm not exactly thrilled for, but one I'm pretty easily expecting, since I believe Lloyd is like, the Japanese audience's most requested character if that one survey is to be believed. Plus we are pretty long overdue for a second Namco rep, considering they developed both Smash 4 and Ultimate, and since Lloyd's Mii costume has yet to return that's a point in his favor (Sorry Heihachi fans). I don't like the whole "anime swordfighter = bad" complaint that's common in the Smash community, 'cause I think it only takes into account the basics of a character without anything else they could bring to the table, and Lloyd being a dual-wielder would at least make him stand out from the Links, Marth, etc. With that said though, I have no personal investment in the Tales of series, so I would be pretty indifferent towards Lloyd if he were to be included.

Ryu Hayabusa (Ninja Gaiden)
-Mirrors Hero: The legacy characters. Series premiered on the NES and were seen as big game changers.
Again, another character I don't have any personal investment in, but one I'd be okay with joining the roster. Ninja Gaiden is perhaps one of the most infamous examples of NES era difficulty, which actually resulted in it becoming a pretty iconic game. Granted, not to the same levels of Dragon Quest obviously, but enough for Ryu to stick around and make more of a name for himself. Plus he was also like, one of the most rumored characters during Fighter Pass 1, and if the latest rumor of him being pushed back is to be believed, then I think there's a good chance we'll see him soon enough. That's all I got to say on the matter though.

Crash Bandicoot (eponymous)
-Mirrors Banjo & Kazooie: Nostalgic icons of 3D platformers that are highly requested to join Smash (Crash even placed first on Source Gaming's new top 50 poll)
Now, the one character I do actually really want in Smash for this lineup. Ever since getting into the bandicoot with the N. Sane Trilogy, Nitro-Fueled, and now looking very forward to the upcoming "It's About Time", Crash has easily gone up in recent tiems as one of my top five most wanted characters. Though not without reason other than just liking him, I genuinely think he checks off pretty much every box for a third-party rep. Some people I know have said that Crash would be a boring addition, and honestly I just don't see how unless you were to purposefully design him like Sonic and make spinning 80% of his moveset. He's a character that was originally based on the Looney Tunes, and Ultimate's newcomers have pretty consistently been fun to play as, faithful to their source material, and been given a lot of personality, and I don't see how Crash would be any different. This is the one character on the lineup I'm definitely keeping fingers crossed for.

Sol Badguy (Guilty Gear)
-Mirrors Terry: Central characters of fighting game series, representing a whole new publisher and their legacy of games (ideally at least).
And back to characters I have no real investment in but I think could still be neat additions. I mean we do have a new Guilty Gear game in the works, and while ArcSystem hasn't been the major Switch supporter that SNK has, I think their games are popular enough to easily justify them getting a slot in Smash. That's all I have to say here because I don't Guilty Gear though and all I know is that it's a surprisingly OP series in a VS sense. But again, Sol seems cool.

Geno (Super Mario RPG):
-Mirrors Byleth: Surprising additions from franchises already represented in the game.
Yep. I used to never think much of the whole Geno argument, since imo what Sakurai said during the Brawl era could've easily changed overtime, and I just didn't think he was really notable enough of a character to include. I mean he only really appeared in one game, plus one other as a cameo that got removed in it's remake. But Min Min kinda changed everything for me, especially how Sakurai said during her presentation that they plan on altering other Spirits to accomodate for DLC. This makes me think that we're gonna get at least one other figher that was a base game Spirit, and while I would prefer it to be either Rayman or Shantae, now I can see Geno just as easily happening. I mean when you think about it, Geno is kind of in the same boat as K. Rool or Banjo & Kazooie, where they're very popularly requested characters despite lacking relevancy. And both of them got in, so I can easily see him being next in line. I also contemplated putting Rex from Xenoblade 2 on here, and he just as easily mirrors Byleth and fits in line with what I said for Geno, but I just went with him instead because I'm more of a Mario guy than a Xenoblade guy, plus Geno being requested for far longer.

And that's that. Once again, I'm not prcolaiming anything here as fact or a guarantee, just thought it was a fun bit of speculation.

I would love to see Sol (and another character as an echo) in Smash Bros. There's a new Guilty Gear game being made so it might be possible.

I can understand the reason for Jin and Chun Li. It'd be nice to get a fighting game character.

If Sol did get to Smash...

They'll have to do something about that "THAT IS BULLSHIT!" song.
