hey Nemi is it true that if they have red splotched along the "lower belly" it means they have mated in the wild?... or is that with males. I cant remember but I though someone told me something about that Β

Its usually caused by them licking them selves lol or so I was told. Because white wolves are easy to see the red.

Well sometimes some animals need to be culled in order to sustain a decent population (for both themselves and their prey species - equilibrium if you like). Some animals are raised on fur farms etc, so it doesn't harm the wild population. Most often these animals are given excellent care and have a decent quality of life, especially if they were raised in captivity. I see a lot of coyote skins on DA, so a lot of them must be culled to protect livestock (and coyotes are not a protected species - they're common).Β
Humanity is the top race, simple and true. We've achieved that the same way every previous top race did - by pushing and shoving, and not playing fair. THAT is nature. Survival of the fittest and so on.Β

Hahaha, probably because we want to keep them alive and healthy. Same with everything else it kills.
understand, in order for some to live....others must die.
but because we are cruel humans we always not hunt them and watch them kill everything, including them selves as they fight for little territory, die of infection and disease. And those who survive that, will starve to death because the prey is also dying of some disease and low populations because a wolf pack kills 1-2 large prey animals a day. And they can't populate quick enough to supply the over population of wolves. Than you have other hunters like, lynx, coyote and fox who are also being killed off because the wolves.
life out in the wild isn't as free living as you make it out to be. We can either be kinder than mother nature and help that ballence or we can let mother nature do it her own way and let her wipe them out.
your choice, but I'm not changing my ways to support it. And honestly I'm glad we are able to preserve what the animal once was.

your comment makes me shake my head.. Maybe you should reread Nemi's comment again, and let me make myself calmly slide this little (hurr hurr) quote in forΒ you.Β
"As people who actively engage in nature, hunters tend to support efforts to conserve the diversity of native habitats and reduce habitat disturbances and fragmentation. Additionally, the hunting licenses and equipment bought by hunters provide a vital source of subsidy to state and federal governments to maintain and acquire parks, refuges, and the staff necessary to provide a safe environment for both game and non-game species, which has the net effect of increasing wildlife diversity and quality of life throughout the country.
In addition to this, hunting also allows for population control. Due to the loss or reduction of natural predators such as wolves, many deer populations are overpopulated, which can lead to malnutrition, disease or resource depletion, which in turn may have negative consequences on animal or human populations in the area. It has been shown that in areas of large deer populations, the number of animal-caused car accidents increases, as well as decreased crop yield due to herbivory damage, both of which can be controlled by hunting."
a quote from a great site that I have found,
Conclusion: Some have over thought hunting, and us as a human race suffers from that.
