Description The first in a two-stage line commissioned from j7663701 . This turned out fantastic!

Entry 1: Larveech are world-famous for their captivating glow. In dark caves, colonies can look like entire galaxies.

Entry 2: The sticky coating of Larveech is a powerful toxin. Just brushing it can cause hallucinations.

Entry 3: These Pokémon catch prey in a gooey string they hang from their mouths. Anything caught is eaten whole.

Origin: Larveech is a portmanteau of ‘larva’ and ‘leech’. The creature is inspired by glow worms (specifically those found in the Waitomo caves of New Zealand), as well as lampreys and the barnacles from Half-Life 2. The sedentary behavior of these creatures has inspired a moveset that lacks any direct damage aside from Spit Up.

Well, that wasn't the intent, and I certainly hope it doesn't make people uncomfortable. It's based on Arachnocampa luminosa, a luminescent fungus gnat that's endemic to New Zealand and spends most of its life attached to a ceiling. They dangle glowing threads from their bodies, using that to lure in prey. This combination of being attached to the ceiling and dangling a thread down was the intent, although there was the question of keeping the image fairly compact.
