Wow Its been like... a legit year since i last tried my hand at new fan characters.
Feels nice to see something ive had in my head for a bit now finally solidified. but anywho on to the dudes

Ok so!
First things first. unlike most of my other characters these two are not in fact egg bosses. instead they are actually just regular grunts and work under my 4 main bosses (Van, Codi, Ricky and Betty). Jan and Rook have got nowhere near the combat skill or cybernetic enhancements that their commanders or even some of the weaker Bosses have. So they mostly are there for supporting roles rather than helping in combat.

Now with that out the way let's start with January.
Before she joined the empire Jan, with her very large family, lived in a remote town on the egde of the Eggman Empire's territory. Because of this it was a prime target for bandit extortion and raids. During a rather brutal one of these raids, where everyone feared not only for their possessions but also for their lives, the Eggman Empire sent a legion of badniks to destroy them as revenge for a previous deal that had gone south. The result was the saving of the town and the lives of those who lived there from the bandit's. Of course this wasn't an act of kindness from Eggman but January would forever see him and his army as her savior. Joining the ranks with enthusiasm in hopes of one day becoming a Egg Boss herself. Unfortunately she never made the cut, and had to settle for just being one of the rank and file. This hasn't discouraged her however as. She genuinely enjoys being in the empire and looks up to those who have reached boss status. She particularly admires Betty. Finding her the best example of what a boss should be, and longs to fight alongside her.

Jan has a hobby of collecting and documenting the many different Badniks that Eggman has created. Often fawning over any of the rarer or new models she gets her hands on. The most prized possession in her collection being the first motobug that Eggman ever deployed. (and the first Sonic ever busted...) Because of her constant tinkering and repairing of these machines she's become a pretty freaking good mechanic. She's not a genius in comparison with people like Tail's, but her understanding of empire tech means she can fix and maintain even the more complex of machines and cybernetics.

Now Rook's back story is much simpler. He was stuck in a rut and without a job for a good while and saw a campaign ad for the empire. Figuring the money would be good he took the opportunity.

Despite not having a job before he joined, Rook is actually a really hard working and meticulous person. The reason his commanders can go out on missions for Eggman instead of actually running their base is because of him. The base itself is rather important mining operation built next to a sleepy town well into empire territory. It's entirely badnik operated and Rook organizes where and when these badniks go. It's tough work and Rook loves to complain about it. That being said hes pretty prideful in it and never actually asks or wants help to do his job.

He isn't disrespectful or uptight but he often concerns himself with the well being of his friends coming off as, and being called the team dad (Despite not even being the oldest). On the rare occasion that he goes out with the bosses on one of their away missions he's pretty valuable, being a really good strategist, often times coming up with out of the box plans that even Van (who is technically the leader) would gladly prefer over his own.

When not doing his job he's just as lively as the rest of gang, and both he and Jan are more considered friends than subordinates by the bosses, which is why they've be nicknamed The B Team.
