EDIT: I got in, but not really because certain things just didn't work out. I might be participating at a later date, but at this point Darius has been benched in the HM world.

history: Growing up on his father's ranch Darius was always one to be found playing with the animals and spending time in the barn and fields. He'd gossip with the hens and babble with the sheep until the sun went down, and even then his father often caught him curled up in the loft with all his favorite cats. When it came to his brother Darius practically worshipped Cyrus just like any other sibling, and always jumped to do what he was told. They were best friends, so when the time came for Cyrus to spread his wings it was definitely tough, but it taught Darius the things he needed to know when his father's unexpected death put him in charge of the ranch. With responsibility thrust upon him he handled things well all things considered, and he faced every problem with a smile until things started to get /really/ bad. That's when his mother sent a letter calling Cyrus home.

At first Darius was more than happy to share the burden of running the ranch, but there soon were times when his brother's way of doing things began to frustrate him, which led to several strained interactions between the two of them, but they always make up and start fresh when prompted (or rather scolded) by their very spirited mother.

When it comes to other people on the island, he gets along with most folk right fine, especially when they show an interest in his animals. He knows all of their personalities to a 'T', and loves talking about them almost as much as he loves talking to them. In fact, he can often be found in the fields gossiping with the ranches small flock of sheep and his dog, Rhode. When he's not in the fields with the sheep or dozing in the barn with the cats that call it home he can be found wandering about town. Sometimes he'll even stop to juggle and visit with the various street performers in the town square. This tends to happen more often when he's having an argument with Cyrus about the ranch.

When the Ranch has it's seasonly bonfires he'll even up the ante, setting his torches on fire, just to show off for all the pretty festival goers~

And while he /may/ just have a secret crush on a certain someone that doesn't by any means mean he's taken~

personality: Darius is a bit of a goofball, particularly when he gets to know you. Not that he's shy of course, but comfort goes a long way when dealing with this ranch hand. Even better if you can tell a good story that his flock might like to hear later!

He's also slightly superstitious, doesn't take kindly to rudeness, and while he doesn't go out of his way to be cruel to half breeds, he doesn't /generally/ go out of his way to be nice to them either. In that sort of situation he's relatively neutral.
