I forgot, so, uhm, I definitely tried not to hide this ending from you--I've been dropping hints like crazy, and, erm, even in the comic. Hell, I even gave Jason little wings and a halo in the second page, third panel (AKA my current icon)... and, uh, I hit him with a crowbar. That's sort of like foreshadowing, right?

For me any way this gives a better end to the character then DC gave him all those years ago. I read the original death in the family...I say original because recently they killed off Damian and gave the series of comics the same title which annoys me to no end...where am I? Oh yes the first Death in the Family gave Jason very selfish motives and though in character I was hoping for an arch where he goes from the brat steeling the Batmobiles tires to maybe a hero? We don't exactly get that...we get (spoilers) him being bet to death by the Joker and then blown up (spoilers) I even feel like this was handled better in Under the Red Hood...the DC Animated Movie...haven't read the comic yet. *deep breath* HERE! Jason gets an arch. We find out through dialog that he was a punk kid and we see through action that he's a hero something we expect with being around Bruce so long. As for shooting him a bunch...you shouldn't feel bad. You're being true to the characters story just giving it a twist. I'd be more frightened and turned off by a story where Jason lives.

Man, I agree very much. Jason's death is now imperative to his character, I wouldn't be doing anything or anybody justice if I let him live.
I feel like it was handled a lot better in Under the Red Hood, but I'm not exactly sure if his death was hero-esque. And that bothers me, too! It feels like they missed a great opportunity for some major character development, or they were leading up to it, then cut it short and shrugged it off.
I think that's what really bothers me about the Damian arch, as well

I mean, DC has some good things going for them (Batwoman for example), but I see far less from them than Marvel... So I guess it's just choosing the lesser evil.

No you make good points. My problem with Marvel has always been roughly 90% of their characters feel like Batman. The dark past, the bruiting over said dark past, the "no one can get close to me because I'm damaged" attitude. Its fine to have one or two characters like that but I can think of eight off the top of my head. That's why I like the Flash so much...more so Wally West. He has a tragic past but he isn't constantly focusing on it and that gives him more depth. Or better yet why I like Hell Boy, you can't get a past darker then the son of the devil and the bringer of the end of days and though every other character is focusing on that he himself is petting his cats, smoking a cigar and shooting monsters with his big gun.

I really want to read Hell Boy O_O;; Mignola does such an amazing job on the art, and Hell boy sounds so cool--like you said, he has every reason to be down, but he rises above it like a true BAMF ;D
I am a big fan of Arsenal from DC--but I hate it when his character is completely angsty and they leave out his sassy side.
I really wish comics would start teachin' that even with a bad past, people can move passed it and still have a healthy present and future >.>

Hell Boy in any form is amazing and I recommend it highly. The people who did Tiny Titans are doing a five issue series...well I think its five issues it could be more or less called Itty Bitty Hell Boy and it looks adorable and I can't wait for August because of it.
Roy Harper is awesome~ I loved it when he was a single father that man was Dad of the year in my opinion.

Tiny Titans is adorably awesome but weird. I love it, but then again I really wanted something to read with my younger siblings and it seemed perfect...I also love that adorable art style. If there isn't kittens in it its not Hell boy xD okay that's not fair I'm pretty sure that's something the movies did...I also own so little Hell Boy...this is bumming me out. I mean I've only been collecting for a like three years now but still.

I know how you feel, though! I had this series I was collecting (Who is Jake Ellis), and I had all of them but the fourth issue.. I went to so many comic stores and every one was missing the fourth issue @_@ it was like someone just had to have aaall of the fourth issues of that damn comic. I nearly bought the trade of it, but my friend finally convinced me to just ordering it on amazon, haha. I'm just too stubborn to order things online >.>
