Lucrecia Crescent. I swear, she couldβve changed the fate of the whole world if she had chosen Vincent instead of Hojo.
No hojo means no Sephiroth, no meteor, no chaos in the world
But no, she chose psycho hojo over sane vincent....why?! why?!?! XD

It was to escape the guilt from causing Vincent's father to die. She was wrought with grief, but I agree she should NOT have chosen Hojo as a husband, Hojo has ZERO redeeming qualities, which confuses me why Lucrecia would escape to him rather than a nicer man to escape her guilt.

Gorgeous! Just added to the faves of Hojo-Munchers !I always felt that Lucretia loved Vincent all along...and with a name like Lucretia, it's arguably implicit that Hojo raped her, (The Rape of Lucretia is a poem by Shakespeare) but that's just my humble theory

After all there were still real feelings for Vincent cause after hojo shot him like that,she did save him by injecting chaos into him.

If anyone here played FF7 dirge of cerberus,you should know that she went to hojo because she thought vincent hated her after finding out that she was sort of responsible for his father's death.However vincent never did hated her,that's what she should have realized.I know the whole time she was with hojo she was not really in love with him as you may have saw sighs of in those flashback cutscenes.

In my opinion she might have been held back from developing a firm romantic relationship with Vincent at that time due to some particular feelings left by the death of Dr. Valentine, thus getting lured by Hojo who promised that he would give their offspring a most promising future (like the abilityΒ to talk to the planet)β¦

Well now, here's a rare gem! Don't see much of this character in fanart form. A shame it is.
I agree with some of the others here, who have commented on the true source of the problems in the FF7 world. It's such a tragedy.... I haven't played FF7 to it's conclusion yet (here's hoping my PS2 holds out long enough for me to finish my FF series marathon), but I have read enough about the game to see what happens.Β Some of the stuff in these 7 games is pretty deep and heavy when you think about it too much.
Anyway, thanks for making this and sharing it on DA. Lucrecia needs more screen time.

There should be a Sephiroth, but a Sephiroth that is loved (which in essence would cancel out the chaos).Β I dislike both Hojo and Lucrecia for what they've done to their son (and I'm saying that in nice terms).Β For all I care Shinra, Hojo, and Lucrecia are the enemies, not Sephiroth.

Agreed. I think people who have played the original ffvii would agree too that Sephiroth isn't the root of all evil, but more of a result of someone else's (well hojo's) evil. Had hojo not been a crazy psycho scientist, I wonder how different the ffvii world would turn out..
