My thoughts exactly! Their relationship has grown so much in the five years between movies, that it just has to end in matrimony! Their love seems really strong!

If a marriage did occur in the next movie, when do you think it would take place: beginning, middle, or end? I'm kinda hoping near the beginning. It'd be nice to see their life after marriage. Too many movies end in marriages anyway.

It would be so cool if they opened with it.

Not like the typical "Hear the church bells and they run out the door" beginning though.

Like Astrid waking up and freaking out, Toothless trying to calm down Hiccup as he can't find his ceremonial furs or something, Ruff and Tuff planning some mischief but Fishlegs catches them and reminds them that Hiccup can exile them if they do something too horrible and all that.

And then once they are married, BOOM! Problems happen (with whatever plot line they have in store.)
That would be gold.

You are so right, that would be perfect! If they sadly don't decide to go with that idea, you should definitely make it into a fanfic. It's brilliant! : D 

Also, if DreamWorks ever makes a fourth movie, Hiccup and Astrid should definitely have a child. There's always conflicts in child raising, right? And just imagine how Toothless would react to a baby! It would be precious.

I don't think we'll have fourth movie to be honest but we can always hope!

I've heard that some Viking wedding  customs are not very Dreamworks friendly (i.e. public consummation), but my research hasn't been conclusive. Who knows. But I definitely think you should write it.

Yeah, I don't believe a fourth movie is very likely either. The fourth Shrek movie didn't enchant me personally, but I don't know how others liked it. But I heard that the creators are just planning to make HTTYD a trilogy.

Hehe, Uncle Toothless would certainly be a sight! Imagine how he'd react to a dirty diaper. Would he sniff it like a dog?

I think they planned for 3 movies and they're going to stay with 3 movies. Hopefully they don't pull a Shrek. 

I think he'd be able to smell the diaper from ways away and his eyes would widen and then you'd have Hiccup beside him like: "Oh dear. She's going to make me change that one is she?" With Uncle Toothless nodding profusely.

If so, then a lot of people are believing the hoax. So many pictures and fanfics mention it. o.e All I could find on the topic was old English kings had to have witnesses to make sure the marriage was consummated or it wouldn't be valid. But even then the man and his bride had a large curtain around their bed that gave them plenty of privacy.  But I don't know if that practice also applied to chiefs of random Norwegian islands (or wherever Berk is).

Oh, and I'm sure the baby would try to pull on Toothless' tail, wings, ears, etc...

Well I suppose it could happen but there isn't enough evidence to say it did happen, as there isn't enough proof so say that it didn't. History....

Or gnaw on all of his equipment. Not to mention punch open his Dad's flight suit fin. The kiddo is half of Astrid after all xD

Yeah. I guess some Hiccstrid fans just love the idea of it...Which is weird cuz I would feel so terrible for them. They need their privacy.

Sure it would be cultural and stuff but would they seriously look at the "witnesses" the same way after I mean... talk about embarrassing. They saw them do the do when they had no idea what they were doing!

Tall skinny kid: intelligent and competitive
small super buff kid: sleeps with a copy of the dragon manual under his/her pillow and lets the sibling do all the fighting

Any combination of features between their adorable dork parents is squee worthy
But of course in any combination the Haddock spawns are all Sassy

Haha, exactly. And the witnesses would probably have to be relatives and friends. Which means Valka, Snotlout, Fishlegs, and maybe the Twins. Depends how many are necessary. I think the last thing in the world they would want is Snotlout to see them do that...

Sounds like great characteristics. Maybe they'll have enough children to fill all of those! They had no birth control after all.
