Description
This is the last work from this term's Traditional Printing classes. It's an illustration for Leopold Staff's Przychodzi do mnie noca [='She comes to me during the night] which you can read here . Unfortunately I couldn't find an English translation.This offset was made of 5 layers, each of different colour (even if you can't see them here) and the whole picture is almost 100x50 cm. I really like it but my teachers hate it. And what do you think? :3

Technically there are many things to this image that could make it a stronger piece, which your teacher might have pointed out, its got nothing to do with the style.

actualy, my teacher is a type of teacher who never tells you how you can improve your work but how you can make your style like his own :] so he's rather no help

me too, all my teachers and classmates says that I ruined my own style a bit because I like manga so much. but I don't think that's fair. you draw what you like and there is no such thing as rules in art

I think it is a great piece 
You and Mr. Staff are reffering to "Mara", the creature that causes nightmares, right? if so, I think your vision is very accurate and interesting ^_^

Yes, when I was wondering how to name that piece I've decided to choose 'mara' as a somehow synonim of the word 'dream' since the poem is about dreams

Profesor ma swoje wydumane wymagania, z ktorych najwazniejszym jest zeby tworzyc to co on (trojkaty, kwadraty...).

I think that the teacher is a bit bored with my style, maybe... he's not a good talker so I don't quite know what's wrong

The twist of her body is unusual, but to me that adds to the surrealism of the piece.

I like the image a lot, but feel like there are too many jarring styles of line/color here. And the colors themselves don't feel cohesive.
