Four months ago I started reading The Kingkiller Chronicles, by Patrick Rothfuss, and got completely caught up in the story (mostly because the books are sooo well written).
Anyway, most of the story is built around the misterious beings known as "The Chandrian". The intriguing fact is that they kind of appear once at the beginning of the first book and then puff... total oblivion. Of course that, imaginative as I am, the only scene where they actually appeared got stuck in my mind all along these last four months, which led to this drawing being made.
The tricky thing about doing this (and part of the reason why it took me almost 2 months to make) is that there is nothing consistent about what the Chandrian look like or what they wear and everything. So I pretty much had to stick to a brief description given by the author in poem form in the second book (which I'm not gonna paste in here so as not to spoil anything for future readers).
The scene is the one in which the central character faces The Chandrian, as a child, in the middle of a forest glade, during the night (thus the almost total blackness of the drawing), the only light provided by a bonfire giving out blue flames.
I hope you enjoy it, cus I certainly enjoyed doing it..
P.S.: I plan on turning it digital someday, who knows...
