“I don’t understand,” said David dreamily as the mist swirled around him and he was bound, his hands secured behind his back by strange metal bands fastened in place by the black clad females who were either side of him. “Who are you women and what do you want with me?”
“We are the Priestesses of Valor,” replied the unnerving woman to his right, “and we wish much from you, David Elliot.”
David’s head began to throb. He thought he might faint and tumble to the hard ground unable to save himself because of his bound hands.
“You must realise your destiny,” intoned the priestess to his left, “and our duty is to guide you to it. By compulsion if necessary!” David found he had no desire to resist these mysterious viragos.
“Lead on, ladies…” he heard himself say even as the chains in the women’s hands hauled him forward towards the void.
