Description Ganondorf’s form twisted and warped, becoming something greater… massive horns like a ram, muscles of steel, cloven hooves for feet, a demon from the darkest nadir, it rose up to face Majora’s Incarnation. Two massive swords sprang from the monster’s hands, and Ganon took one swift step forward…

CRACK!

Majora’s Incarnation flew across the room, its body broken and ruined, and the music ended with a sudden pop.
Ganon did not pause, but stomped across the multihued room to finish his fallen foe…

…who was still moving.

An earsplitting screech echoed across the room, and Majora’s Incarnation rose once more on shaky legs… which were gaining strength as unknowable concoctions flew through thickening veins, and now it was at full power again, and past full power…

…the hideous head was replaced by something nightmarish and disturbingly human, something with long, pointed ears and viciously sharp teeth in a lipless mouth, something with unearthly eyes that stared into Ganon’s very soul…

Two long, flexible whips were born from the fiend’s awful hands, and a high-pitched, girlish laughter echoed around the room as Majora’s Wrath faced Ganon.

Evil challenged Madness, and Madness struck first. One of the long, supple lashes whipped out like a cobra, and wrapped itself around one of Ganon’s massive swords.

Majora’s Wrath gave a tremendous yank, and the sword was half-torn out of the demon’s mighty paw…

But then Ganon yanked back – even harder – and now Ganon was dragging the fiend across the floor with inhuman strength…

…and now Majora’s Wrath had loosened its grasp, and the fiend leapt across the room with whips flailing in every direction…

…it landed, and had to leap again as Ganon swung his massive swords in a monstrous blow, it would have chopped the fiend in half had they connected, but the swords only dug into the floor and glanced off, leaving a small scar…

…Ganon lurched up, and raised his swords just in time to deflect a bizarre new weapon, a collection of whirling blades that rebounded off the great weapons like some devilish top…

…and now Majora’s Wrath was on top of him once more, and one massive whip coiled around the demon’s right horn while the second wrapped around his legs like a python, squeezing and twisting…

…but Ganon’s swords lashed out again, forcing the fiend back…

Fiend and demon swung and clashed, advancing and retreating, whirling and slicing and flailing with brutal, insane strength in a terrible dance of death…

…but even as the monsters swerved and dodged and struck again and again, it became apparent to both that Majora’s Wrath was gaining the upper hand. Ganon’s rage and power were second to none, but he simply could not land a killing blow on the swift, agile fiend. Majora’s wild laughter echoed around the room, a sound of pure, insane joy as her whips tore into Ganon’s skin again and again…

…and now a furious, berserk roar tore the room apart, rising over Majora’s laughter, and Ganon bore down on the fiend like a juggernaut. Majora’s Wrath leaped out of the way once more…

(Aww, you're no fun anymore! I wanna go to bed!)

…and now the room was gone, Ganon was gone, Majora’s Wrath was no more…

Ganondorf Dragmire was back in his throne room, and Majora’s Mask clattered to the floor in front of him, dormant and motionless once more.

Evil had been saved by the whim of Madness.

A sudden, gentle zephyr tousled Ganondorf’s hair, and the Happy Mask Salesman appeared before him like a wraith. Before Ganondorf could react, the salesman picked up the mask and stowed it in his pack. The King of Evil stared at the shopkeeper in total astonishment as the latter spoke.

“King of Evil, never forget… there are greater things than you can imagine in this world and the worlds tied to it, forces that will never fade, minds that were not meant to die. This fact will come back to haunt you in years to come. For now, enjoy your reign… for it will end sooner than you think.”

With a strange, piping laugh, he disappeared, leaving the astonished king alone in his throne room.

The End

Ganon is easily more powerful than Majora, really Majora would simply lose.

"Forces that will never fade"?  "Minds that were not meant to die"?  Could he be talking about Link's return, seven years later?  Does Ganondorf validate that warning, until the final battle against the Hero of Time?

I more meant the general "immortal" forces in Hyrule (i.e., Majora, the Triforce, etc), but since Link is reincarnated every few generations to deal with whatever new evil pops up, it's a legitimate interpretation - good catch!

good story and it would be interesting if the Happy Mask Salesman influenced the games' stories more than he did in Majora's mask

It certainly makes for some interesting story possibilities...

I liked it, but still I wanted a more horror end for Majora.

Even something like 'see ya' or 'remember me', as if to make Ganon know that, no matter what, he was defeated.

Sure, Majora is a child, but I would make it more like the fact that she (or he, Idk how you see Majora) has simply placed Ganon inside a box toy. A little scare, that is. Otherwise was quite good

And Majora... well, I do see her/him as a master planner of sorts, even though completely insane. It's not that Majora is mindless, as much as we puny earthling can't understand Majora. A full blown Lovecrafian horror, overall. And worse, a destroyer for fun. In my version, Majora even completely ignores worshippers. Why? the answer is ... why not?

Interesting ideas... and thank you!

Still, I wanted to show Ganon at least giving Majora an honest challenge (sort of). In my mind, Majora epitomizes less a Master Planner, and more of a simple, childish being who was simply given way too much initial power without being taught how to properly wield it. She's like a hyperactive kid who's found her dad's gun: no less dangerous, but not even deliberately malicious. Like any small child, she doesn't really understand that her actions have consequences, and she's just as likely to put the gun away as she is to blast the hell out of the neighborhood for the hell of it. This (in my eyes, at least) makes her even more frightening, as you have no idea what she'll do next...

Still, I do like the Lovecraftian Horror angle...

You are welcome

Ganon no doubt would give Majora's Wrath a challenge. I do think that the mask was nothing but a fragment of Majora's real power, though.

While Lord-Majora was funny, I don't agree with his vision of this villain. He portrays Majora as a ruthless and insane monster who trash talk his opponents.

IMO, The fact reason Majora is so terrifying, IMO, is because she barely shows emotion but faint glee. As if that, no matter what you do, you are meaningless to her, and you can do nothing. Link himself was forced to let Termina be destroyed at least ..... five times before putting a stop at her madness (and even then, she was close to victory again). But I think she is aware of what she does though (when she utters 'FOOL' at Link before merging him with a soul of a Deku child she just killed, to boot). The problem is, to her we are so .... insignificant that she thinks of this as a game.

TO me, Majora is rather the child who out of sadism uses a zooming lens on the ants of her garden. The problem is... we are the ants. She knows we are sufferings and gets morbid laughters out of it.

Heck, I am sure that, if she wanted, she would have pulled the moon faster on Termina, but didn't do it only to see people squirm.

Interesting...

That "FOOL" bit is a valid point, but I actually think that was still the Skull Kid talking at that point (at least partly). We don't know how long it took for Majora's will to completely take over, so...

Anyway, I also doubt five different timelines of Termina were destroyed, mainly because then the Giants would never have been freed in those alternate timelines... but then again, the way time travel works in this game is kinda screwy anyway, so I'll just chalk that bit up to "Reasonable Doubt".

Still, I like your idea of humans simply being insignificant to Majora, and about slowly pulling the moon in, so I'll agree to (sort of) disagree on the points mentioned before...

THanks a lot . I do my best to develop characters.

I agree on the fact that time travel is screwy there... although I always thought it was thanks to the Boss Remains Link was able to summon the giants. On the other side, there is the fact of the sidequests... so yeah... confusing.

And I agree on the Skull Kid bit, but even then she did show more than a malicious side. She does say [paraphrased] "I will consume everything", though. But again, yes, it's weird. Which is also the reason why Majora is so well liked. Despite being a completely mysterious villain, the scenes of her characterizations were striking, to say the least

Adiraiju In reply to Lord-Majora [2011-12-17 10:33:23 +0000 UTC]

Aye, you could, but there's a massive difference between "could" and "should".

As a pure agent of chaos, one unmotivated by greed or revenge, thou should always allow for the survival of those others who would bring ruin on the world. Though not as powerful as thee, Ganondorf was a potent force in and of himself. You yourself described Ganondorf as "boring", and having proven your superiority, you had no real reason to continue the battle. He literally wasn't worth your time or energy anymore. If you slew him, or caused permanent psychological trauma, it would remove another agent of darkness from the world.

If thou slew him, made him into the "bleeding mess" you describe, you would simply have removed another agent of chaos from the world. You gained a huge boost of energy from Ganondorf's power - far more than you got from the Skull Kid - which is what allowed thee to transform so swiftly this time, but now that you've transformed, now that you're free, so what? You've inherited a ruined Hyrule, most of the populace is in hiding or in Kakariko Village. There's nothing worth destroying, nothing to play with. Best to go into hibernation again, and wait for the world to repopulate itself (or, in the case of what happened, wind up in Termina). You ALLOWED him to live because it suited your whim. Not only that, but allowing him to live - knowing there's something as powerful as thee out there - is going to psychologically torture him. There is a method to your madness, though it may be difficult to see at first...

Lord-Majora In reply to Adiraiju [2011-12-17 21:30:29 +0000 UTC]

First of all, there's a reason I'm out to destroy the world. I hate my sisters and everything about them, everything they stand for. As much of an 'agent of chaos' he is, Ganondorf still wields the holy power of the Triforce. He's part of a delicate balance my sisters purposely allowed to exist so that the world would remain in balance. Without Ganondorf, there is no need for a hero. People grow content and take what they have for granted. They gain a sense of self-entitlement. They then succumb to their greed, and petty evil is allowed to flourish in the hearts of all mortal beings instead of in one man. The whole balance of the Triforce between Ganon, Link, and the Princess is meant as a way to prevent absolute corruption in the human race, which would give me power over their weak minds. With their creations flawed beyond redemption, my sisters would have no choice but to abandon them. And then, when I make my presence known and vow to destroy them all, the fools will pray to their goddesses, and will find to their horror that they have abandoned them. The waves of despair will take hold, and they will fall to their knees and beg to me for their salvation. I will then convert them all into my glorious minions, the Corrupted. Sealed forever in a body built to serve me while their consciousness remains aware and in constant pain. How fitting an end for the Chosen People of Hyrule.

Adiraiju In reply to Lord-Majora [2011-12-18 08:46:26 +0000 UTC]

Aha, this explains quite a few things... yet, thy actions in Termina seem to contradict this. An entire realm filled with people who do not follow the goddesses, who have indeed shown themselves to be capable of petty evil (Sakon, the Curiosity Shop Man, etc) was found - and thou decided to bring the moon down to incinerate the lot of them?

Or is it only the Hylians you wish to corrupt? This is understandable. But if this is so, I feel a need to warn thee: petty evil can be seen in a thousand people no matter the circumstances. Some people succumb to their petty evil if given the slightest opportunity (Ingo, for example), while others will always insist on being stubbornly incorruptable. The swiftest means of achieving absolute corruption is unjustified recognition and reward for those who do not deserve it. Granted, there are those who will remain untainted no matter the circumstances, but they are nothing in the teeming multitude.

In their efforts to gain fame and fortune, the masses will turn on one another, further cementing their corruption. Ultimately, they will attempt to gain favor equal to the Goddesses in other's eyes, but with none of the power, wisdom, or courage to reinforce their will. They will crumble, their cohorts will see the false idols they prayed to - but then it will be too late, and thou can come upon them to offer your own brand of salvation.

Also, if this is thy goal for the realm I now find myself in - the realm of Earth - You're already quite far along, no matter which method you choose.

I think you're confusing the term "lady's man" (someone attractive to women) with "girly man" (someone who acts effeminate).

Heh, Ganondorf's more a "demon's man" than anything else...

ps. is majora a the 4 goddess?

Adiraiju In reply to levert2457 [2011-12-16 10:14:28 +0000 UTC]

Not exactly. Ganondorf was the king of the Gerudo, a desert tribe that mostly survived through thievery. He pretended to ally himself with the king of Hyrule in order to get close to him... then took over in a bloody coup.

As for your second question... Majora is an incredibly powerful demon spirit that was sealed within a mask. The idea that he/she (there's some debate about that) is the 4th goddess is... well, possible, but unlikely.

Define "Shitty". Is the lighting poor, or is the background overly simple, or is it just a lack of sophistication and focus on the part of the entire piece? Perhaps the subject itself is a mess - in which case, I understand - but if you're going to say it's "shitty", please elaborate next time.

I don't know about you, but I've always felt that Majora was male. Course, that's just my opinion. Majora's gender is the subject of hot debate on some Zelda forums.

Anyways, this was the best rendition of Majora vs. Ganon I've seen yet. Good job, man!
