Description "In early 1967, I was summoned to the remote Sollgel Island in the south Pacific, to give my opinion on a few monster sightings. When I arrived, I was astonished to see not only Godzilla, but a younger saurian monster - possibly a relation - as well as three giant mantises and a vast spider.

I had little to say about them. It appeared the weather-control experiments performed on the island had mutated them into the behemoths I now saw. The spider appeared to be the dominant predator on the island, rivaling even Godzilla in size, strength, and aggression. Eyewitnesses claimed it was capable of spewing strands of incredibly tough webbing from its mandibles, and had a poisonous bite that had taken a giant mantis down.

I left the island, but not before giving my opinion that the monsters should be contained for as long as possible, in a sort of "Monster Island Preserve".

Of course, the idea was ridiculous..."

Reality Check: This is, of course, the giant spider from "Son of Godzilla", a 1967 Toho film. I do not own Kumonga, all rights belong to Toho, etc. etc...
