"Massive flying rodents, Terapusmordax dwelt in the Vapour Island uplands, feeding on anything they could tear apart with their talons and devour. Their eye-watering stench was caused by their caustic waste, and it served to keep predators away. Their wingspan ranged from 8-10 feet, making them the largest flyers on the island. While they would occasionally attack humans, they were more likely to turn away to hunt something smaller and less able to defend itself."

Reality check: this is one of the giant bats from the 2005 version of "King Kong". I do not own the rights, etc, etc...
