It is obvious that your coloring skills are very developed and there is no problem in that area. It is a good piece, but there are quite a few people who have the same "eye" for this style, so I took a few "points" off of originality. Do not change the way you do your "lighting"/shading ability, though, because it really adds an emotional effect to this piece. It is great with how it looks semi-realistic, too. There should be more artists like that. The grey colors are not appealing, but it suits this image perfectly. The features such as the eyes could show up a bit more, though. ( it would allow the person who is looking at it to observe it longer from god features. )

I absolutely love this piece.
The lighting, and the way that everything seems to shine really adds a sense of depth. I feel like I can reach out and touch it. I also really like the colour scheme you used.
I find that the simplicity of the background draws more attention to the general, and think that the only thing I would suggest for improvement would be to perhaps add a bit more shading contrast.
I actually like the layered effect, and how many of the details seem to exist apart from the main image. I find that it makes it look more abstract and slightly surreal.
overall fantastic picture!

I personally find this picture to be quite well done, and it is very clear that you have a very solid and realistic ability to see exactly where lines and certain parts need to go and such. I think that you should make the scars a bit more in-to the picture, right now it looks like you added a layer, drew an x, and then used the bevel tool :/. A little bit of shape-ness in the back of the collar would look better as well, giving it less of a cut-off look, unless you are going for slightly abstract... (need a couple extra words here)

I don't favourite for attention.
I like this as I'm painting my characters a lot more now.
I wonder though, are the scars bevel and emboss? But either way, maybe especially the cross scar should be warped slightly as they both feel like they are stuck on rather than following contour and I would of thought the scarred skin would be slightly imperfect; that scarred skin is much more perfected as it is than the rest.
In terms of composition, I guess you are going for a concept piece so:
be aware, that although you may wish to draw the attention around the eyes (I like how the horn and jacket open towards the eye, then the feathers on top balance it out).
It does come across as flat though in a sense as the light conflicts with itself. It's not so much the lighting is wrong, but more that a photograph of this sort may be lit differently, you may be interested in sacrificing some detail to strong values either way. Thanks for allowing the critique

The highlights in this work are absolutely stunning. The placement of your light source(s) are spot on (something so simple that many people including myself often forget) The head to body proportion is the tiniest bit off but it helps to draw attention to the horns so who is really going to care e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/> . The emotion and mood to this piece is what really drew me to it. Nothing breaks the atmosphere, the dark feel of it. Having that kind of flow to a piece is a real challenge but you seem to have aced it. One thing that caught my attention was the contrast between the face and the body. The body and clothing is chaotic, uncontrolled, while the face lies on the other side of the spectrum. It only becomes pronounced if you stare long enough however. Overall its one of the more original fantasy works that i've seen.

To all digital painters, I think, it's always appreciated to see such a kind of painting: a kind of speed-painting. It's always appreciated because of technicals skills. That picture show us your great techniques with a nice job by the way. A rather unusual portrait bec. Anyway nice looking.
I really appreciate your technique.

For the originality I don't really think there is someting original in it exept the character perhaps because you imagine it. It's not the first time we see horns on character, but don't be afraid , don't take it for you, I think today it's hard to create something original, I know that because I try to searsh originality too.
If you searsh about originality I think you should add a background because originality on only one character , a sideway view with not a big perspective like a long angle shot for example e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>, it's really hard, that's my opinion and I think you can make better with a complete picture.

Otherwise as I already said your way to paint is great because it works with that kind of drawing , I mean fantasy painting that we can see with the eyes, ears and horns and perhaps the skin colours.
It works because it's another way to paint or draw which ask for a new way to think lines and details.
I'm fascinate but it's because I personally didn't succeed to make such a picture.

I think that all the impact of your work it's on your technique to color and draw; the way you organize lines and colors and especially the choice of things you detail and the others you choosen to not details.

Anyway, nice picture , I really think you can do better than a portrait in sideway, otherwise nice picture, I really like it but well, that's my critic according to the way to critique.
Hope it will help you.

This is only AWESOME!
I mean, the profil is great.
The person with the clothes and horns, only the idea is super.
And your drawing is fantastic!
I love that drawing is in lines (sorry, for my bad English, but i don't know how say it diffrent -.-) and that the lines are at the face/hair is more fine lines and the clothes and horns is more gross. Or by the backround.
I love the horns and the head!
There are only EPIC!
Or the skipy ears, the little scarfs (which are you see so clearly but what is not so obstrusive) the black eyes, which are look so empty and hamonyes so perfect with the whole face and mien.
The shadows an light effects are only perfect!

This is only PERFECT/EPIC/ SUPER SPEZIAL AWESOME!
Your are a fantastic artist!
