Hitler was only Japan's ally only because he was fighting on two fronts. Had he completed his racial cleansing pogroms in Europe and secured the Reich from the threat the Allies posed, he would've turned on japan in an instant. Asians would've gone into the camps along with the Jews, dissidents, and other races. Der Feurer alliance with Japan was only a matter of practicality. Japan probably knew this as well. Even before the truth of the camps was known, rumors of what went on there had circulated for years prior (in reality, the rumors were often thought to horrible to be true, though the truth was far worse than anyone imagined). Hiro-hito's string pullers weren't stupid,; doubtless they knew that a grain of truth usually exists in even the wildest tales, and the Nazi's antisemetic stance was public enough. Japan allied with the Reich because defeat at the hands of the Allies would've been inevitable otherwise. Most likely they knew the Reich would turn against them once it was safe, and assuming it had the military power.

I doubt Hitler hated asia. Hitler's hatred was directed towards the Star of David. Everyone else he liquidated, he killed for the sake of eugenics. We don't hear much, if anything about his stance towards asians because of the distance between the Sun and the Swastika. Hitler was concerned with targets closer to home.
