I knew there were really good artist in this fandom but I have never seen something similar to this
The phototrealistic style, the incredible amount of details you even made the collar a little transparent to her right.
This is the work of an Artist which has been working in the industry for many years !!!
Because of the "futuristic" colar, the keychain and actually everything in this picture I first mistook you for an other artist.
I totally flipped my shit because of that.

Whelp:
Princess Celestia was on one of her nightly strolls threw the castle's many gardens. Large snowflakes slowly fell down all around her making it impossible to see further than a few ponylenghts. She remembered how her little sister loved to play in this kind of weather, always lively and with an infective smile. It never took her long to join in on her sisters antics and simply forget about the daily troubles of running an entire nation. With a whistfull smile the princess of the sun looked up. Not that there was anything to see but a thick cloud cover and the small ammounts of light that nevertheless seemed to make it threw. Even so she could clearly picture the nightsky and the exact position of every star and the moon. Princess Twilight Sparkle made sure everything would run like a clockwork ever since Lulu had disappeared. Precise, exact, boring. Though she could hardly fault her, her own attempts had never been that good either. They always seemed far too mechanical.
Looking down again the princess noticed something bright hidden behind the thick snow with an orange glow in the center and it seemed to move closer. She wondered how something had managed to sneack into the castle walls without alerting anypony, then again this weather would make it easier. The shape became clearly pony formed, though slightly larger than normal while the orange light on its center mass seemed to get weaker and stronger on a regular intervall. Or it might bee somepony trying to play a trick on her. Albeit a very weird one.
Celestia decided she didnΒ΄t want to play along with whatever was going on as her horn began to glow. The snowcurtain between her and the now rather close form parted in an instant leaving the ruler of the sun stunned with her mouth half open as she was able to take in the sight before her.

Right in front of her was non other than her little sister, her eyes looking slightly up due to her shorter hight. Celestia didnΒ΄t know what to do or say as her brain tried to process what she was seeing. Luna opened her mouth to talk yet the only thing that came out of it was a coaking sound bringing Celestia out of her stupor. The princess of the sun took an unsteady step forward, her face lined with a worried look as she realised that her sisters horn seemed to have gone missing or had been reduced to what might be sticking out under her flowing mane. She took another step noticing how the eyes of Luna welled up as she opened up her mouth again in another attempt to speak.
Celestia noticed that the grotesque thing of a collar that was around her sister suddenly changed its color from orange to red and the a muffled explosion reached her ears as she had closed her eyes out of instinct from the sudden brightness infront of her. Opening her eyes again the princess noticed that Luna was missing. Quickly looking from left to right and back again she tried to make out where her sister might have gone to but some warm red fluid seemed be be dropping off of her. She lifted one of her hooves to try and remove it from her own snout Yet it also seemed to have gotten this sticky stuff onto it and rubbing only seemed to make it spread out and go deeper into her fur. Her eyes got bigger as it just didnΒ΄t go away, why couldnΒ΄t she get rid of it?
Well, not happy with the last lines there but I have a bunch of cheap excuses like itΒ΄s late and english isnΒ΄t my native language (etc.).
Anyway. I agree that the right ear seems to be too far back and that the face looks rather human. I think that this might have to do with her mouth mostly but donΒ΄t ask me how to do that, I have no clue there
