King Herod was deeply troubled by what he was hearing in Jerusalem. The newborn King, that could take his place, made him grow jealous. He arranged a meeting with the wiseman who told him about the star that shines upon Bethlehem. He said to them, “Go, and look for the messiah in Bethlehem. When you find him, let me know so I can also worship him.” But secretly King Herod did not want to worship the new king. He only wanted the wisemen to reveal his location so he could kill him.
