Description Fortnum F2 Medium Tank

It was during the development of the Fortnum M1 that Arcandian tank designers realised that the F1 would be out-dated and unable to keep up with the remarkably higher performance of the M1. Wishing to keep costs down, the F2's hull was fashioned from an M1; rather than designing a new hull from scratch.

The tanks armament was increased in comparison to the F1, now brandishing a 75mm light anti-tank gun; showing it could hold its own against heavier tanks until reinforcements arrived.

The F2 was deployed along side the M1 in 1942; where it served gallantly in several dozen low-intensity conflicts around the world. Crews at first were uncomfortable with the unusually large turret design, but this soon departed as the turret proved itself by saving many dozens on lives from potentially deadly fire.

The image depicts the F2 Mk.I in a classic Arcand paint scheme, Arcand Roundel on the fuselage and the Arcand flag on the side-skirt.
