VISION - This is wonderful. You have taken a spectacle which pretty much requires constant motion to be effective and made it marvelous even though it shows a single moment. Pictures taken in a crowded area often have an oppressive feel to them; this one feels freeing and light. The background has a story all its own: that person on the left, what book was that? Was it related to this tricky crystal ball, or were they lost in a world all their own?
Originality - DeviantArt has a lamentable lack of decent hand close-ups. Anyone can snap a picture of their freshly painted nails and call it art. And it'll make them quite popular...on myspace. This, on the other hand, belongs here - on an art site.
Technique - Crisp, evocative images in the foreground, yet the ability to still tell what's going on in the background. Lovely foreshortening. It makes me happy.
Impact - I actually gasped aloud when I saw this. The main focus has a mystical appeal all its own, but it's the details that make this! The black nail polish on the crystal ball holder, the person reading the book in the background, the reflected images inside the ball. There is a story to this picture, and I want to know it.

:3 Really? I'm happy to be your first critique! It's only the second time I've ever written one.
Your entire gallery is wonderful. You have such an eye for detail.

Oh this is a great photo. You have depth of field, interesting subject, sharp focus point, colours in harmony, and heck it even follows the rule of thirds. What's there not to like?

Thank you very much! For the fave and the input. And the only thing I can say could be better is the condition of the hands. But I am glad you like it

Sort of, but this person was using it before fushigi was made. To her it is just an acrylic ball. She started learning after watching Labyrinth.
