This is just what I was looking for.

The position is genuine but you traditionally have the blade positioned with the edge (and thus the curve) towards yourself.

Yeah. I noticed that after you brought it up. Isn't it supposed to be a sign of nonviolence or submission?

keeping the edge towards yourself is often said to be a sign of non-agression, though I'm more often told it's a simple safety measure.
Looking at this picture, with the edge outwards, it would be easy to draw and strike in a single action. Always an issue.

Still a great picture and excellent pose.

In Iaido in Muso Shinden Ryu the blade is out in an angle in which the tip is towards yourself, the hands aren't supposed to touch the blade, the bow should be in line with your back and your back feet should be flat not up like it seems here. It is good effort but now that i've been in Iaido you notice these small weird things

The feet should obviously be flat, and the back as well, but I'm assuming the model wasn't flexible enough to do that. I can't hold that against him.
The exact position of the sword ... probably varies between ryu. I was describing the simplest version I've seen.
Also, thank you for the bit about the fingers, I had not noticed that. The fingers absolutely should not be touching the saya!

He must be very stiff but understandable if one just can't do it.Β
Yup that was the first thing I noticed no fingers on saya when performing torei

So, about Muso Shinden Ryu.
The placing of fingers and the positioning of the sword is wrong, but the one about being on his toes (Seiza), that one I can't remember, the knees are
too spread apart though. The person in the image propably isn't a practisioner of iaido, so I can't critisize him for that.
And someone got a nice vintage Paul Chen Practical Katana I see...
