I like using pen because i think it brings out more vivid color and if the pen has a good point on it you can make very detalied stuff. I use pilot G2 gel pens. they come in all sorts of colors and you can get them in almost any department store for a resonable price. If you like colored pencils then Prisma Colored pencils are the best but they are very expensive, a set of 48 assorted colored pencils may cost upwards of 67 dollors.
