Hunter x Hunter is such an weird hilarious meaningful series to me, it was one of my first genuine fandom experiences and it introduced me to some dear friends through the manga and 1999 anime. It's been a surreal experience seeing Hunter x Hunter become popular with the 2011 anime and I couldn't be more thrilled.
