I've noticed a rather disturbing trend here, on dA. This place is being swarmed by all kinds of Fallout 3 related stuff.So, this is a Fallout 2 artwork, for all those that feel the same as me about The Post Black Isle Role Playing Game.
I'm getting better at those things, so they take more of my time, but they're also more detailed. I must change it, if I want to finish all the planned ones before holiday ends.
This one depicts, as you probably noticed, an Enclave Soldier, encased completly in Advanced Power Armor. It is supposed to give the reader of "Nomad" an idea of how a Power Armor looks.
I took my time to design and work out every single piece of this wonderfull piece of american industry. The only thing that the game makers provided was the helmet, some pauldrons and the rough idea of the whole thing. I'm quite pleased with the outcome. Looks retro enough to be Fallout, and modern enough to be Advanced PA. The hands were a nightmare to work on, though.
The gun is a slighly redesigned version of the "Gyrojet" [link]
Enough ramble. Made with Photoshop and Wacom Graphire 4 Tablet. B&G&W technique.

It's to be expected, your disturbing trend, I mean. People play the new generation Fallout and fail to realise that there was an old generation. Hopefully your magnificent art will help educate them. And God bless you, is it good!

Not only have you made one of the coolest pics I've seen in...nearly all 4 years on dA, but you've also you've made it clear that FO2 is still superior with your post.
I swear the Beth games are nauseating. Even the one with past Black Isle developers lacked terribly, it was better than the others but still nothing like we old fans want.

I just wanted to say that this is the best idea of Enclave Power armor EVER. And everything like helmet and pauldrons which are kinda clearly shown in Fallout 2, are perfect too! For me it's 20/10 : D

Yep just the hands need to be fixed and the rifle could be lots cooler and this would be awesome. Along with a nice slightly-purple tinted black finish on the armor.

Explain how would you see a cooler rifle - this one looks good enough for me. And I don't think that adding purple would be good for it - it's without colour for a reason.

Assuming you didn't try to draw any specific weapon I just think the rail on top seems a bit strange and the barrel could be a bit thicker. Regardless it's amazing

B&G&W means Black & Grey & White - this picture is made using only those three exact colours. I gave it a name and shortened it because I already made some pieces in it, and I'm going to make more in the future. I really like it.

The hands are maybe a bit too small, but the thing that makes them look like that the most is the fact that they are less armored than the rest of this bulky thing.
