Description A Program Advance is when a sequence of three to five specific Battle Chips are downloaded in a particular order to create a great power. Displayed here is Power Cannon, one of my favorite Program Advances. Featured only in the first Megaman Battle Network game, it's created by downloading the following Battle Chips: Shotgun, Cross Gun, Spreader, and Mega Cannon. It's an enormous Cannon with equally enormous power that has the Spreader's damage spread characteristic. There are also two more versions that are of the Aqua and Heat elements. Bubbler, Bubble Cross, Bubble Spread, and Mega Cannon create Hydro Cannon, and Heat Shot, Heat Cross, Heat Spread, and Mega Cannon create Flame Cannon.

Incidentally, Hydro Cannon is the very Program Advance that Megamon used to defeat Lusamine Beast/Ultra Necrozma. Well, almost. As a bit of a final gambit, Mega downloaded the Zeta Chip before the Program Advance fully formed, infusing it with Z-Power. This technique came to be known as the Zeta Program Advance, or Z-Advance. The Z-Power infused Power Cannon, Z-Power Cannon, was enough for Lan and Mega to claim the victory, especially because Mega was also in Hub Style when he used the Zeta Advance, making this final attack even more powerful. It's a wonder Lusamine and Nihilego/Necrozma and Solgaleo/Lunala weren't killed by the blast.
