im so tired of people drawing ashfur as a striped or just plain gray cat. if you read the description, it says "pale gray (with darker flecks).PEOPLE!!! draw warrior cats as they are!!!
anyways, feel free to use it!!! just notify me below cause i like seeing how many peopel use it ^_^

People can draw Ashfur however they want to, I always pictured Ashfur as being a tabby.

Just because you imagine him with gray flecks doesn't mean we have to see him that way.
Personally, i draw him just a a grey cat, but that doesn't mean i'm drawing him wrong.
If someone imagines him with pink and purple poka-dots that doesn't mean their wrong, that's how they see them.

Also he has DARK BLUE EYES. Everyone gives him cyan or sky blue ones....but I see why...it's easier to see and put shading and detail....

Crookedstar for some reason I imagined him silver, small and skinny.
And please note I DID read the description. But I feel that it lacks creativity and imagination. I feel that everyone has their own view on the characters

its a book so artists are open to interprutation
the whole piont of a book is you get to imagine the characters as you want , sure you base your image on the description anyway.
but if people see him with stripes I have no problem with that, maybe thats how they picture him and they are free to draw him like that
for example I give scourge a red collar and white tail tip, no one need agree with me but I enjoy drawing him like that

Theres no real Ashfur design
Some people draw him with spots and things. Some people draw him with stripes. Some people leave him plain.
I for one like to mess around and make unatural designs XD They just look cool! No one really cares about the designs '|D

No one draws him properly. "Flecks" do not mean spots. If you look at images of actual cats (as well as other animals), "flecking" is similar to "ticking". So if you bear that in mind, this cat...:

Is quite an accurate depiction of Ashfur. Blue eyes, in cats, can only occur in cats that have the pointed gene. And the dark ticking on that cat's body, is the same as "flecking".

Plus, in different books, the descriptions are sometimes slightly different.
So really, I think there is no truely right way to draw any of the cats.. people just draw them how they imagine them (or with whatever colours they have with them at the time XD).

I only thought Graystripe was a tabby until I saw his picture in the manga. I don't think the book mentioned that he specifically had a single stripe along his back. I totally agree with you you when it comes to Ashfur, though. The one thing I really hate is when they change the eye color. Totally throw me off.

I agree here, It's like when people draw Ravenpaw with white chest and so on, he only has a white fleck on his chest and white tail tip and with Yellowfang everyone draws her obeese, when in the book it doesn't say really fat cat, yeah people should read the descriptions ><
