I've always pictured Joey's sister-in-law with an Aipom since he's purple like a Rainbow Monkey.
Hmm. Never thought of Nigie having a Treecko.
I now get why Hoagie would have a Klink. 2x4 technology.
Riolu is Fighting, just the skills Wallabee Beetles has.
I'm not 100 per cent sure why Abigail would have an Inkay.
Anyway, interesting thoughts on what Pocket Monsters the KND characters would have if they had any.

Yeah I can't think of a reason why number 5 has an Inkay...I guess it could come useful as it can hypnotize people and Number 5's like the kind of like that cool cop that interrogates people on the streets to get knowledge about something and if they're hypnotized, that process of interrogation would now be easier as the person's hypnotized. I personally see Number 5 having Dark Type Pokémon like Sneasel, Liepard, Umbreon, Absol etc, or Pokémon like Flareon or Raichu, or Simisage Pokémon that just look cool. I could also picture her having Pokémon like Mienfoo or Mienshao, number 5 is a good brawler.
Number 3 with an Aipom or an Ambipom is alright, I also picture her having pink Pokémon like Skitty, Delcatty, Jigglypuff, Swirlix etc, just really pink, girly and energetic Pokémon, or Pokémon that are just cute and cuddly
Also I just imagine Number 4 having a Scraggy or Scrafty XD, to me, that just seems more like No.4. I just picture him having tough looking Pokémon in general
Nigel having a Treecko kinda makes sense, Treeckos are cool, level headed Pokémon that look like they could be leaders. I also picture Nigel having Pokémon like Krookodile or Pangoro or maybe more heroic Pokémon like Gallade.
Number 2 would probably just have Mechanical Pokémon like Magnemite, Klingklang, Beldum, or Pokémon like Rotom and Porygon, I also picture him having a Munchlax, as both like to eat a lot.

Wallabee would also have a Timburr or a Gurdurr since they look like koala bears. Cyndaquil since that's an echidna.
If any of the other KND characters had Pocket Monsters, I bet Lizzie/Numbuh Vine would have either a Dunsparce or a Malamar. Numbuh Sixty would have a Beartic, Gramma Stuffum would have a Swalot since it eats a lot, Father would have a Houndoom since he's Dark and Fire.
I see why the old bean would have a Krookodile. Because he's red and wears sunnies.

There's also Kangaskhan, some reason I can see Number 4 making an exception for having one on his team due to how tough it can be. Grandma Stuffems would proably have food based Pokémon like Vanilluxe, Slurpuff, etc, or Pokemon that are made into food like Farfetch'd or Basculin or maybe even have living food monsters made from Pokémon. Swalot and Snorlax would be up her league to as you said, they like to eat
Yeah Lizzie with a Malamar, a Pokémon capable of Mind Control is kinda scary though I picture she'd use it most on Nigel. Dusnsparce matches her Color scheme as well as it's yellow with a bit of blue. Yeah Father would definitely have fire and Dark Pokémon, I can picture him having a Shiny Charizard which would be badass, hell, I can picture him also having a few legendries like Moltres or Groudon
Villains like Prof.XXL probably wouldn't have Pokémon but rather, he'd have the parts of Pokémon like in the show he'd have a turtle shell or a tentacle or something, something like that but instead of animals it's Pokémon. I just imagine he'd have a bunch of Ditto and what they'd do is that they would attack them selves tohim and transform into a Pokémon's body part like one ditto could get on his back and turn into a Blastoise shell and one attach to his arm and turn into a Rhyperior fist and another would turn into a Charizard tail or something.
Also Mr. Wink and Mr. Fibb would totally have a Walreign and a Boufallant XD

Oh I completely forgot how KND uses hamsters as their power source, I guess in Pokémon terms, they'd be Dedenne or something

You've given them each a Pokemon partner? Aipom's a geat match for Kuki as it seems close to the Rainbow Monkeys. Treeko's scowl and narrowed eyes reflect Nigel's leadership skills. And I love that Riolu, the baby jackal is paired up with Wally. This pokemon would be great for a pching guy like him.
