May is a rookie reporter for a major news company in Hoenn. She desperately wants to be one of the major reporters, but hasn't had the opportunity to impress her bosses yet. But now she has that chance. Her boss promised that if she could get a compelling story about a strange creature terrorizing a small town, she'll be allowed to air her story as a headliner. She heads to the small town and runs into a local researcher who offers to help her. The two go around town and gather information from the locals. After days of interviewing people and finding clues, all they have to show for it are rumors and dead ends. Exhausted and overworked, May begins to notice that her partner seems to be growing closer to her, and she begins to feel the same. But she also notices that he's a bit too interested in what they find on the creature…and what's even more peculiar than that is that he seems to resemble the subject of her research according to the rumors of the locals. But with the feelings between them growing stronger every day, will she be able to give an honest report?
