I've been going through something similar for the past couple of months myself, just started painting again this week... Seems as though as artists we have to go through these ups and downs!
I'm pretty disciplined when I'm working, I work hard for a few months then I ease off for a while, then start up again. I have to fit my painting in around my office job(grrr...) which means painting in the late afternoon, and at night.
Snow! twas 38C here last few days.
