Double inspirational loop! Now I'll have to paint something related to the souls series. Just started playing the crap out of Dark Souls 2. Totally felt the influence from the thumbnail, maybe I've been playing too much. Β Really like the light coming out of his stomach, looks very natural.

Great song too, thanks for the link!

Yea DS2 is worth a ton of inspiration I think. Most games just blurt out the story right in your face
but with these games your imagination gets fueled by descriptions of items and lore from npcs (and the art design ofc!)
Really like that! Always nice to inspire a fellow art warrior!

If you liked that one, have a listen to this too why not. You can even hear my mighty growls in the background haha!

Hell yeah! I like that. Feels like you're coming up with the story along the way, soo cool that you get so engaged.Β
Exactly! Refresing with so dark and creative designs. I don't see that very often, stuff is usually just trying to be very gross or scary. This feels more unknowing, which is reflected in the story too I suppose. You're always inspiring dude!

Thanks for that link too haha. Ooooh so that was you, just clicked the link before reading that. Good job self-promoting I like it a lot! New fan!

How far are you in the game? Maybe it won't say so much since you can head in different directions and all that, but anyway xD

Yea we seem to both really enjoy drawing fantasy art from imagination so inspiration runs both ways in a good way!

Yea it has to be real self-promoted to even be heard on the internets. I will tell the band that you like, boost their confidence a little heh.

I just defeated that guy in a chariot riding around an arena! After that I reached Harvest valley, but there was so much poison that I didn't want to move on haha. Scared me! You're done with it yet?

Yeah of course! And then sci-fi happens once a year just for flavor! Can't wait for some more fantasy games to come out, like Witcher 3 and dragon age 3. Need to fill that inspirational library

Sweet do that, found it really enjoyable! I suppose that it's hard to find the most efficient platform. How is it going for them?

Ah yea. That fight is pretty damn cool, and a fresh breeze considering you usually fight dudes in heavy armor (the armor is cool so it's not like i'm bothered)
Ye I'm done with the game for now I guess. Played it at my parents house whenever i visit so the sessions were few and far between, but I've beaten it and started a new game as a swordsman.

Looking foreward to those games too I guess. Tend not to get hyped up very often anymore, but when they get released. Oh man xD
Really enjoyed Dragon age 1 and even 2. So will probably enjoy this one.

Since they're just a small town band, and not even big in the town they live in (Uddevalla) it's hard to spread it around and making it big.
But they're recording more and more so hopefully good ol' internet will help out.

Haha yeah I suppose that's true! But god damn if I didn't die 20 times. But those alcoves that you had to hide in didn't always protect you from the skeletons. Got hit by the wheels anyway and blocked by mobs. Furious screams.
Sweet man, well at least you keep it fresh that way. The atmosphere is too depressing to dwell in for a long session.

I know, I don't get hyped up either. But those games really got to me. And gotta say that after watching Nintendos E3 conference, I want most of those games too. Give me fun gameplay plox

Yeah by traditional means it's probably super-hard to spread. Don't know what forums and such you need to be active on when it comes to music, but aren't there some like DA or similar sites?

I could swear I sent a raven to you, but it must have got shot down on the way..hmm. No, ain't fooling no one. I'm just really slow when it comes to replying on messages sometimes xD

Finished with good ol' DS2 by now eh?
Ye it's like you tell it. Got lots of cool player stories like that, each encounter turns out differently cause you die a lot and get to try again. The boss you almost..ALMOST had the second time suddenly does some new crazy attack on the third attempt, on so on.

Didn't watch Nintendo's conference but..yea, dat zelda O_O
Actually kinda hyped for the new dragon age, funny how that hype works. But it looks so damn sweet, hopefully it will come loaded with an arse full of inspiration.
Remember I used to take screenshots from the previous games so I could study them, you know armors and the like. Still haven't gotten to it. The "stuff I must draw/practice on" list is indeed evergrowing.

There is Soundcloud and the like but it seems hard to get it to spread. An image can take a few seconds to look at but a song you've gotta devote more time to before you dismiss it. That's how I feel anyhow.
I wish my lads the best tho, will link you more songs when they record them, they sure do appreciate it ^^

Damn those raven-poachers roaming around today, nothing is reliable anymore! Me too,I feel very ashamed of it haha!

Haven't played it for a while, got kind of stuffed with the darkness since I'm not really into it. Got further though so I'm at some misty thing that felt really cheap with invisible enemies. Yeah that's really fun when a boss pulls out new moves. Loved the first boss because of that reason. Sitting there all confident and then he does a slamdunk

Haha taken screenshots for studying too, but never end up using them! They probably serve better as references or moodboard pieces anyway. But yeah, Dragon Age is my cup of tea. I'm sure it'll be filled with cool stuff to soak in Β
Though there's a new urge that has festered in my body for some weeks now, and that's the urge to play some WoW. I can't help myself argh!

Yeah you're right about that man! A song can start off dull and boring but end up being your favorite jam. You should try and critique them with "increase the growl" so that you can eventually join them!

If it weren't for majula I guess that game would feel too dark all the time. Gotta love me some sunset and epic water view.
For all the bosses in that game tho, I think the persuer gave me most of a fight. Fought him early on and his floaty style took a while for me to work around.

I suppose one could do perspective studies from them or just use them as reference to get a cool palette going. Sometimes irl doesn't do it i guess.
Oh,. The old wow urge eh? I remember I played the hell out of that game when it came out and also when burning crusade was released. Never got to witch king and beyond tho.
To speak of such urges, it's impressive how people like us manage to get stuff done xD We both have gfs and like games, yet still we churn out cool paintings ;D Hard to prioritize sometimes heh.

I must practice the growl till' it becomes so awesome that they much squeeze it in, wether it fits or not!

You're right, and maybe that's the point too! I love Majula after I've been stressing out in some dank dungeon with low HP haha. There's like this poison place that totally killed my mood and I got so stressed out from being there. Couldn't handle it, I didn't want to run into the poison but at some point you had to. Hate that shiiit.
My friend said the same thing about him! I got him on my first try, thought he was easy. But I've had problems with all the other bosses instead. So it's a bad trade off

Yeah true! Find some cool gestures in a cut scene or something.Β
I started playing it again. But stopped now after 15 days. I never learn haha. Cool man, you played through the best era then. I started in vanilla and stopped before cataclysm released.

Agree, kind of weird in a way! But everything feeds into the creative process (almost everything). I feel bad for my girlfriend when I'm with her and thinking about painting, it's almost like cheating!

Do a Rocky montage and you'll get that growl down in no time!

Oh yeah that poinson place sucks. And the boss there, ugh.. Won't spoil it for you if you continue. But poison is just the beginning :/
Played the first of the DS2 dlcs in my home town when I was away slacking off. Some sweet level design and texturing done there, and the level is more connected so to speak.
DS2 has a bit of a problem where many of the levels feel disjointed from one another, like..well like totally different levels in any video game. So now I guess I feel like drawing armory dudes even more than before xD

Well you stopped hah. So I guess you learned to stay away from it. Sure, one can soak many hours in games like Dragon age and stuff, but they at least have an ending.

lol I know what you mean xD I established that early on with my gf that I needed to go into art mode now and then when we spend time together. Thankfully she understands and like to do things on her own to while I paint about, but I still feel a bit like a dick heh.

Yep. Future project, a montage of me sitting infront of computer, painting and growling at the same time ;D
