How do you make the skin seem so bright and soft? (sorry for my english

Thank you so much! And your english is great. She was actually right next to a window. We have two big widows in our living and dining areas, and we get so much natural light. To get her soft skin I do the following in Photoshop:
Make a duplicate layer of background
Go to filters, then choose Gaucian Blur and set it to 20 or so
add layer mask
click control (i) to turn it to black
choose soft, round, white brush set to about 15% opacity
Brush over skin careful not to go over eyes, lips, or anything else you want sharp.
Flatten the layers.
