Description     Seed had spent her entire life living in The Shellfish, a little nook in Whispering Caves just for folk like her--for the Troupe. Various kits sporting various druid features, all with a similar shrimp-like tail, lived in harmony among the water and rock and luminescent plant life. They were happy, and so was Seed. She'd never had any other reason to wonder about the world outside Whispering Caves until now.
The Shellfish came with everything the Troupe needed and then some, and one of the luxuries such a place housed was a radio. Lounging in the Common Area with some of their shrimp friends, Seed tuned in to what sounded like an important message, stuck in between their usually enjoyed music. An Expedition. Another colony in need. A druid colony in need. And a whole new reason to wonder what was outside of The Shellfish.
Seed had gone outside The Shellfish a couple times before, swimming around in the waters of Whispering Caves and spying on the folk that lived down there, outside of her home. She was aware that The Shellfish was a part of a bigger society of folk in a place called Grimsby Grove, and that that place stretched far and wide and high, somewhere above them all. She'd heard the stories of her druid ancestors and their journey here, heard the history of their world whispered between Troupe members and called upon to inspire pride, but until now, she hadn't really cared about whatever happened outside The Shellfish.
And yet, the talk of this druid colony, as much a part of her identity as it wasn't, called to them somewhere deep inside--someplace they weren't quite able to put a name to. So on this particular day, Seed dared to venture outside The Shellfish and go farther--farther than she'd ever gone before--to a place above: The Den.
Seed had heard about the Den too--a place much like The Shellfish, but above water, above it all in the Great Tree. It housed kits and folk like Seed too, but they had no idea just how much it had to offer until they set foot inside. As if traveling all this way hadn't already been so much, the Den was stuffed to the brim with furniture, noise, music, toys, and folk. So many folk. Big and tall--round and small--Seed didn't even think she could count them all, and then all of the sudden there was more commotion.
A crash and bang, and then a folk zoomed by her, headed through the entryway into another hall. There was a holler, then three folk jumped into action, one round and yellow, another tall and brown, and a third wide and blue. The blue one bolted after the earlier folk and sprung into the next room, peeking around the corner while the other two followed after her and looked shocked.
Seed mirrored their expressions until the blue one called from across the room, "They went this way!"
Seed watched as the yellow folk motioned towards the blue one, a pointed finger calling anyone to her aid until she met eyes with Seed, a look of determination set into her face. There was that feeling again--that call inside them that rang in Seed's body at the sight of this unknown folk just as much as it did to the sound of the radio announcement.
She couldn't help them all, not yet, but she could help these folk right now--and she wanted to. Without another question, another thought, Seed barreled into motion, darting across the Den into the next hallway. She didn't know what or who she was going after, but it didn't matter. They'd follow this feeling anywhere, and they were finally ready to see where it was leading them.

I have completed the lore prompt for the Grove entitled 'Impostors??!'! Seed's come across an encounter with these mysterious doppelgängers in the Den, (though she doesn't realize it,) and she's helping get to the bottom of whatever's going down! I currently have 0 pinecones, for a very good reason U//w//U, but I'd like some more! There's a lot of potential for myself in Grimsby Grove and I feel it right now, and since I've been wanting some monthly prompts to finally come back, now that they're here, I too shall answer the call like my lil' Seed bab!
I'm trying to be chill with it and let myself not make every piece I draw have a complex background, as I am so often pressured to do (by myself,) and I also ran with this kind of abstract color scheme in my head! I think it turned out really nicely, and though the scene's a little empty, I felt very casual when I was drawing this, which was the goal! I also decided to write a little story too; finally kick off some Seed plot???  If I'm planning on enrolling them in the Expedition/Wyld Hunt, I might as well take these as oppurtunities to create some story too! It doesn't have to be anything astonishing or grand, but I'm gonna try and have fun with it all--really try!  So far, I've succeeded!
    Enjoy!

Seed belongs to me!
Nana, Eeko, and Susan Flowers (NPCs) belong to Grimsby Grove!
