... umm.. ooook? I made it in photoshop for your information and I'd like to see what you can do in adobe before you insult my work, your comment was rather rude considering you don't even know me.
I've read all the books save half blood prince, don't call me a follower because that's very shallow of you. I could say you're a follower because you joined deviantart and followed the millions before you, but I won't because that's _Rude_ and because as an artist I'm accepting of you because you're a fellow artist and that should make you very cool and not all bitter and mean. Even if I was new and a follower of Harry Potter, why should you care? Shouldn't you be accepting of me because I like harry Potter too and I'm new? Do you want to scar me for life and hate Harry Potter because you are so rude.. I don't think so.

I like Harry Potter ok? Not obssessively, all I did was make 3 icons, is that a crime? I don't believe so. If you do then you have issues all your own.
I don't know why you don't believe I didn't do it in photoshop, maybe your blind, maybe you're just plain stupid (and if you think [and I use the word think lightly] you're neither, go look at the rest of my gallery and tell me if it doesn't look like it was photoshoped maybe even the TINIEST bit.)
Actually, I just think you're a flamebait newb who needs to stop trolling and maybe at least try to have manners or something.

You really don't get it do you? The people who are obsessively obsessed with Harry Potter are annoying, and most of them aren't like the way you just described. It's only a sterotype, unless they're one of the few, the prideless, and the annoying...then that's them all right.

In my opinion you judge way too quickly, and I know I was also quick to judge on your 'art', but I have opinions of my own.

And yes, I'm sure you have your own opinions, but try not to be a jerk about it cause you might hurt someone's feelings. Sure, I know I should appologise for my rudeness, but you're being mean to the obsessed fans. Surely you have better things to do?

Now, now you shouldn't get upset at me for completely and totally insulting your work...but hey...I was quick to judge and I guess...I appologise. Your work is good, but it could use some improvement. Especially since that quote "It's magic," he says to me...that sounds...Ugh.

Ok.. I'm calm now, before I was first a bit angry at you for coming in and flaming, and then I was annoyed, I just don't find it all polite for someone to come in to flame me, don't get me wrong good polite critique is great, I like people telling me where I can improve in my work, but blatant flaming and bashing is not a good way to do it.
I was being sarcastic about the obsessed thing, I know plenty of good obsessed people and they're fun and totally not like that, they're rather awesome.

I only judged with what you presented yourself as, someone who decided to come in not knowing anything and flaming/bashing my artwork, no one appreciates a person who does that at all. From my position, I think I had every right to be defensive, and you may not agree with me and I'm sorry but it's just the way I feel on this subject.

These icons were made for fun and not seriousness, the quote 'It's Magic' he says to me is kind of a joking ironicy that I got from listening to a song and reasoning it out for a long time and connecting it with Harry Potter, it only started out as the Tom Riddle icon (because he's just a vey' wonderful character that I adore and I felt like making something Harry potterish) and I just felt like making the other two out of energy and boredomishness. I'm sure it all sounds cheezy and I'll definately admit that it is ^.- cause it wasn't meant at all any serious way.

Oh sarcasm is really hard to pick out when you're looking at it from my end, trust me.

-er- sure, Sorry for flaming you, if you want where you can improve I can't exactly pinpoint it, but your graphics are a bit gritty and are you using gradients? The gradients you use kind of makes the picture look hazy...it doesn't look good.

Actually, I didn't use any gradients at all, I haven't used gradients in a while on an icon, I might've done a low opacity white layer on top of this one (the actual harry potter) but the other two mostly kept their natural color (though I might've done auto level color on Sean Biggerstaff's/Oliver Wood so you could see his facial features, and that one is probably my least favorite out of all of them). I do see your point about the gritty, but different people like different things (I do have a few un grittyesque ones running about my website), right now I'm kind of on a grungy rough/earthy toned icon making spree and this got me off on it.

As for the hazy, I kind of like the hazy/low opacity look, it helps me layer in things, but again, different people like different things.. I'll keep that in mind for the future.

^.^ Thanks for your critique, I really appreciated it (I do understand your point about the sarcasm, it's a bit of defensiveness for me and I really appologize, this whole debacle got me all childish and I appologize for my harsh tones and mean words, I'm usually a nice person.).
