Description This IS Neuronal Bordelou by JuanCarlosDeLaVega . He gave me permission to invert it, rehue towards the blue slightly and decrease gamma and exposure a bit.

The result reminds me strongly of a 'Culture' neural lace, as described by Iain M. Banks in the novel Surface Detail [link] . This device 'grows' to shadow or parallels the central nervous system of a human being and is capable of recording and transmitting his or her entire mind state at the moment of death. The recipient of this emergency tranbsmission is typically a Culture ship mind which can either store or re-instantiate the individual in question.

Interesting manipualation.
In my opinion, however, the original by JuanCarloDeLaVega gives a more three-dimensional impression.

The original is the true work of art. All I've done is give it what I consider to be an uncanny resemblance to the device described by Banks in his SF novel. This, as you say, has not necessarily been an improvement. I like the original a lot myself.
