Description Sirius-sdz recently had one of his great textures DD'ed. This attracted me to dip into his gallery and download his Texture 303 fav.me/d5l5p6b and make it into this dramatic scene of marine disaster. The Tempest sparks.eserver.org/books/shake… was Shakespeare's swan song. Prospero stands for the playwright himself who, having created illusions, righted wrongs and brought a loving couple together in marriage for the last time, burns his magic staff and 'deeper than did ever plummet sound' drowns his book of spells. And now, Procol Harum will play us out with The Wreck Of The Hesperus  www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_HCI6… .

While nothing has actually been cut out of or pasted into Texture 303, some pixels have been moved around a bit and the whole has been processed quite a lot and then rendered as a dry brush painting.

Very interesting piece. I really like the texture and the sense of movement.

Thank you for favouring this. *Sirius-sdx's original already had a very interesting texture and its own sense of movement, very like waves crashing onto rocks even though this was a 'dry' texture. You can see where I've added 'twirl' distortion to exaggerate the sense of motion from merely stormy to tempestuous. Further alterations to this already brilliant texture were effected by 'dry brush' art filtering with 'angled strokes' and 'accented edges' 'brush work'. Before doing any of this I solarised and inverted the work and played about a lot with exposure and saturation.
