Most drawings I've ever made have a more realistic feel. This, on the other hand, is an experiment into creating my own anime style, and hence would have a more cartoonish look. Keiko Yubari is one of the many characters in a story I've created called 'Shattered Stars'. Dubbed 'Devil Queen' for her visciousness with the sword, and for the blood red eyes (which I have yet to colour, so it wouldn't mean anything at the moment
). I only wish that I could've made her look more mature, and not looking like a 14 year old.

This is a pretty good drawing, especially the detail and designs on her upper body. Although the way her head is tilted seems rather unnatural for some reason. Anyways, if you want to make anime characters look more mature, you should make their eyes smaller and skinnier, but she already looks mature as of now.

Heh. ^^ I believe I drew that particular sketch at around, oh, early 2004, maybe as early as February. I've learned from those past mistakes since then, and have a better idea of how heads tilt with the neck. Looking back, I still say she looks a little younger than I wanted her to be, though I guess it's a matter of personal perception.
This is certainly not the first sketch I've ever drawn, as there are others in my gallery that are older. Still, it is old, and has some weaknesses that I've managed to rectify along the way, yet of the many early sketches I've made, this is one of those pics that I'm still particularly fond of.
